I've been managing depression for some time, and one thing that has consistently helped is having my cat by my side. Even on difficult days, the companionship, routine, and comfort she provides make me feel a little less alone. It made me want to learn more about emotional support animals and whether they could be part of a mental health care plan. During my research, I found My ESA Therapist, where licensed mental health professionals provide ESA evaluations based on individual needs rather than instant approvals. I'm interested in hearing from others-has a pet or emotional support animal helped you cope with depression? What changes, big or small, have you experienced?
